Digima B5020D is a robust metal slotting machine designed for precise machining of keyways, channels, formed surfaces and slotting operations in steel and cast-iron components. The machine is designed for toolrooms, production facilities, maintenance departments and single-piece or batch machining.

How Does the B5020D Slotting Machine Work?
Operation of the slotting machine involves clamping the workpiece on the working table, setting the tool, selecting the appropriate stroke speed and performing machining with a reciprocating motion. The adjustable table and ram allow the workpiece position to be matched to the required keyway or channel geometry.
Workpiece Clamping
The workpiece is clamped on the 460 mm rotary working table using the 18 mm T-slot and suitable tooling.
Tool Setup
The operator selects the slotting tool, sets the ram, its optional 0–8° inclination and the table-feed parameters.
Keyway Slotting
The machine performs machining with a vertical motion, while table feed enables the required length and shape of the machined surface to be achieved.
